About Us
Resilient. Impactful. Supportive.
For Cameron, Inc. is a New Haven-based nonprofit founded in memory of Cameron, whose life was tragically cut short by a fentanyl poisoning in 2018. What began as a family's heartbreak has grown into a mission to save lives, educate others, and change the way we talk about addiction.
We work to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and fake pills, fight the stigma surrounding substance use, and advocate for compassionate, evidence-based solutions that meet people where they are.
Our initiatives include:
-
Running a comfort dog program that brings connection and healing to schools, police departments, and community events.
-
Partnering with local schools to educate youth and empower them with knowledge.
-
Fully funded Narcan pouches for the New Haven Police Department to ensure every first responder has the opportunity to save a life.
-
Supporting families impacted by loss and substance use through outreach, harm reduction, education, and remembrance.
Everything we do is rooted in empathy and action. We believe that no one should face this alone and that every life is worth fighting for.
